We only contact you if something needs fixing; printing starts after your file is approved.

Payment is taken on Shopify at checkout so we can reserve your production slot. This is different from some overseas sites that charge only after proof approval. We still provide a free artwork review before printing — if your file is not print-ready, we work with you to fix it at no extra cost for minor adjustments.

Standard production is 24–48 hours from artwork approval. Urgent orders can often be turned around same-day — call us on 010 880 8100 to confirm availability. Large runs or complex finishes may take 7–10 working days; we confirm timing before you pay. Quote prices in the label builder are valid for 7–10 working days while materials and capacity are held.

We prefer print-ready PDF, Adobe Illustrator (.ai), or EPS files with fonts outlined, 3mm bleed on all sides, and a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. We also accept high-resolution PNG and TIFF files. Not sure if your file is print-ready? Upload it anyway — we check every file for free and flag any issues before production starts.

The label builder starts at 50 labels — our practical minimum for digital runs. You can scale up to 10,000+ in the calculator; per-label price drops sharply at higher quantities. Need a smaller test run? Contact sales@fastlabels.co.za and we will advise options.

Very durable. Our UV inks and laminates are resistant to moisture, chemicals, oils, and abrasion. Labels intended for cold-chain, outdoor, dishwasher, or industrial environments are printed on materials specifically rated for those conditions. Let us know your use case when ordering and we'll recommend the right material.

Yes. We deliver to all major cities and most towns across South Africa via courier. Standard orders include delivery, and most deliveries to Gauteng, Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth arrive within 1–2 business days of dispatch. Remote areas may take longer.

Gloss lamination adds a shiny, reflective surface that makes colours pop and gives labels a premium retail look. Matte lamination produces a flat, soft finish that feels more understated and sophisticated — popular for cosmetics, wine, and premium food products. Both finishes add durability and water resistance.

Yes. White ink printing is available for labels on transparent or metallic materials where you need a white background or white artwork elements. It is particularly popular for clear vinyl labels on glass bottles and transparent packaging. Select it in the label builder or mention it when uploading your artwork.

Food labels in South Africa must comply with R146 regulations under the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, which governs font size, mandatory declarations, allergen statements, and nutritional information. We print to your supplied artwork — it is the brand owner's responsibility to ensure the content is compliant. We recommend consulting a regulatory specialist if you are unsure.

Set up your file at the final label size with 3mm bleed extending beyond the cut line on all sides. Keep all critical content (text, logos) at least 3mm inside the cut line as a safe zone. Use CMYK colour mode, outline all fonts, and embed all linked images. We provide a free artwork check with every order and will flag any issues before going to print.

Yes. We offer standard shapes (rectangle, square, circle, oval) at no extra charge, and custom die-cut shapes for a one-time tooling fee. The label builder includes a custom shape option. For complex shapes, email your die-line to sales@fastlabels.co.za and we'll confirm feasibility and cost.

Yes. We print unique QR codes, barcodes, serial numbers, and personalised text on every label in a run — ideal for batch tracking, promotional codes, and loyalty programmes. Provide your data in a CSV or Excel file along with your artwork and we'll handle the rest.
